Traditionally not a winter fishery, Hot Creek is now open all year around. This trout-dense Brown and Rainbow trout water is a classic spring creek formed by the joining of various hot and cold springs that run together to form the perfect trout growing environment. The nutrient rich water hosts an unbelievable insect population that produces some type of insect hatch nearly everyday. Hot Creek contains nearly every type of fishing water, including traditional riffles, runs, pools, and various seams where the trout stack up side by side and head to tail.

Hot Creek rests above 7000' in elevation making it a snowy desination in the winter. The creek however never freezes due to the warmer springs providing tempid water. We provide snowshoes and promise this is a trip you will not forget. Hot Creek is tightly managed and I run the trip through a local permitted shop.
