The fly fishing on the Lower Owens River started out good today and slowed down around 1pm. Some Trico activity was noted upon arrival at 7:30 a.m. with fish responding in the foamier and slowerv sections.  The jig head soft hackles have been working amazing with and without the yellow trigger. Dropping a Midge Emerger,  Caddis soft hackle,  or any soft hackle underneath is a great choice in #16-18.
