The Upper Owens continues to flow at a healthy level of around 160 cfs. Visibility is good and some big river runners have been spotted. As of this time we have hooked a few but landing these beasts is another story for most anglers! Fishing the Upper O this time of year is more like steelheading a wide open river. With these current storms predicted the Larger Upper O trout should be on the move! Use the same patterns as stated in my last report. SJ worms in red, pink, or purple #6-10. Some egg patterns, Green Caddis worms on the brighter side, Robo PT’s and the like in sizes # 14-18. Stay tuned for this fishery to come alive!
