Steve Hill is a fly fishing machine on the Owens River. After retiring from the hustle of Southern California Steve and his wife and puppy decided to make a well anticipated change in life and headed north to the Owens River valley to buy a home and make the dream a reality.

When Steve is not in the STM Fly Shop tying up the next hot pattern you can find him along the banks of the Owens River system hunting for the next needed tug on the fly rod with some of his hand tied flies.  Steve has a special tight-line technique he utilizes to great success on the Owens River system that he incorporates with his indicator and dry fly fishing skill-set.  Steve has taught his sons as well as his grand children the art of fly fishing and gladly passes his knowledge and joy of the sport on to anyone who is willing to listen.
